I knew a girl growing up

she would often reference a strange light

the light came from a shed she could see from her window

she said she always hid under her blanket and was scared to sleep

one day after she had mentioned the light again I said to her

“Marry, why don’t you just go look, things are never as scary as they seem”

she wasnt in school the next day, her family moved the following week
