Hipsters in the desert

I meet a hipster yesterday on the streets of a small town in southern Utah, he was working on an organic farm for the summer. We spoke for a while and I shared my bread and offered my salmon and Bree. Impressed, I learned he’d been a vegan for the last 14 years since he was 13 and his family moved to Alaska. His reasoning was simple and he had the drive to follow ideals and stay true. So when the topic shifted to the problems he had with drugs, alcohol, and women. I was surprised, I still am a bit he had a lot of strength in will and has given all up but women, but how someone with a strong self drive and will falls to such great depths… I suppose it goes to show the potential for people to claw their way back up

Happiness in inconsequenciality

I spent a day walking the streets of Varanasi with Ajai(sp) talking to him about his life, how he lived it, and why he was happy with it. He is a beggar, quite literally a man with nothing who lives solely on the ability of others willing to give something small to him.

This isn’t the benign of a story nor is it the middle or an end just an introduction to a thought. the thought is that if you can find happiness in nothingness or through nothingness that you can find happiness in everything and anything.

To continue it is not often that my mind isn’t running at anything less than 3/4 speed with its attention split by at least 4 different topics. so when I was at the gym exercising and my mind simply stopped and there was nothing but me and my current actions of sit-ups I felt perfectly at peace and happy. Since my mind has returned to its usual but my days are happier and my thoughts less worried. almost as if for a moment I remembered a bit of nothingness that I didn’t know… ultimately I know and realize that I am bored and unchanged by life, for now that isn’t bothering me.

I knew a girl growing up

she would often reference a strange light

the light came from a shed she could see from her window

she said she always hid under her blanket and was scared to sleep

one day after she had mentioned the light again I said to her

“Marry, why don’t you just go look, things are never as scary as they seem”

she wasnt in school the next day, her family moved the following week

I am an amazing person… in my own humble opinion, that is to say I can elaborate on the many things that I am capable of..

I’m annoyed at girls telling me how amazing of a person I am but being in bad situations or not being interisted… I’m already aware of the quality of person I am, I dont like dealing with the reminder that I dislike selling myself to new people…

in reality I just want to rant about the lack of my knowing where to meet cool single women my own age in the small town I live in… it would hardly be justified as I moved back here by choice knowing that this would be the case… le sigh

When was the last tine you thought to yourself “I should go do — with my family (friends, whatever) work can wait”?

If you live in the United States chances are slim that the answer is “yes”. It’s one of the most disgraceful thing about this country. I fail to see how living to work is good for society, community, mental health, ect.

Think about it what are the things in life that you want to accomplish? Not nesiscarilary what you need to be there but what you want out of life? You will get a large range of answers about the places to go, people to see, family to have.. but few if any will say I want my life to be full of work and money.

So why not start doing something that you deem worth while, start living a life worth living!

ego, jelousy, lothing, envy, bad blood, and grudges

in which love acceptance and ideas flow free of idols

stop living in a world wheer the focous is on inequalities and so called justice

get up and become somethign better

impact a change

grow a voice!
